This time we will explain the procedure for installing Google's AdSense for search (Google Custom Search) on the site. Google Custom Search is basically Google's site search. You can post all indexed sites on the web to search results, or you can specify search by specifying a URL.
For example, you can set up Google Custom Search when you create two sites and you can search articles from these two sites. In other words, it is a convenient search function that allows you to search within the site, search within multiple sites.
If you have an AdSense account then you can also earn money from adsense ads when you search within the site in relation to your adsense ID.
This time we will introduce the procedure to install this Google custom search on your site.
Google Custom Search settings
First, I will move to the Google Custom Search site.
Log in with Google account. If you do not have an account, let's create a new one.
Click "New search engine" on the left sidebar.
Enter the URL to be searched (even multiple URLs possible). As a precaution we attach "*" at the end. By attaching this you can target all articles of the site including this URL.
After adding, change the language if you want, add a name (appropriate) and click "Create".
Confirm that the above tab is "Basic" and enter "Search Engine Description" or "Keyword". This is not particularly important, so you can leave it blank.
"Image Search" and "Voice Search" can also be set under this item.
Next, if you have an AdSense account, we will associate it. Click "Advertisement settings" from the above tab and change "monetize search engine" to "on". Now that you can associate with AdSense, you can set your revenue up even if you click on an ad on the search results page.

Custom search design settings
Click "Design" in the left sidebar and select "Layout" tab. Since there are various layouts, I choose what I like. The explanation comes out when you hover the cursor to each. Do not forget to "save" below if you select it.
Then select the theme by clicking on the "Theme" tab similar to "Design". As a preview appears on the right side, let's check "theme" by checking.
Please do not forget "save" below if you select it. If you want to set more detailed settings, select the "Customize" tab and set details. You can also display the logo of your site on the search result page, adjust the frame color etc. After setting, click "Save and get code".
Then the code will be displayed so if you paste this in the place you like it is complete.
In general it is common to paste it on the sidebar and display it. If you paste it in the sidebar of WordPress you can add "text" to the widget and add this code to the content as "title search" etc.
In the case of Shisa Blog, it is added in "free form", but if you add it in free form, you want to display a title like "search in site" so " customize display of free form title " We recommend installing it.
After that, careful not to click on advertisements yourself after installation, so be careful. Since any actions that artificially increase the number of clicks and impressions are prohibited, it is safe to refrain from searching the site itself if possible.
It seems that Google Custom Search does not appear on some browsers in some cases, so if you have a problem, we recommend that you check with a different browser once.
